    Cassie has been an IBCLC since 2011 and brings a wealth of expertise to her roles with BFS. Passionate about supporting neurodivergent parents and LGBTQIA+ families, she is dedicated to creating inclusive and affirming care. She has also received specialized training in tethered oral ties and is a certified baby-led sleep specialist. Cassie loves empowering families with knowledge of what is normal while helping them find solutions that meet everyone’s needs.

    Laura has been passionate about supporting breastfeeding since 2014, inspired by her own journey after the birth of her son. She has led breastfeeding support groups, been actively involved in her community, and achieved her IBCLC certification in 2021. Laura brings her expertise and dedication to both inpatient and outpatient settings, as well as class education in Waco, TX. Her commitment to helping families makes her an invaluable part of the team.

    Elisabeth has been an IBCLC since 2020 and working full time as an Labor & Delivery nurse for 10 years. Her focus is on discovering what her patients’ goals are and guiding them through troubleshooting any barriers or complicating factors. “My primary goal is that my patients will enjoy their breastfeeding experience and bond with their baby regardless of how “perfect” or “imperfect” their experience may be.”

    Rika brings nearly 30 years of experience as a lactation consultant, supporting families in hospitals, OB/GYN clinics, public health, and as a WIC breastfeeding coordinator. She has also had the honor of serving military families. Passionate about guiding parents and their babies through pregnancy and breastfeeding, she is dedicated to providing compassionate, expert care to help families thrive.

    Outpatient | Austin Area Professional Education Program Director

    Gail dedicated her life to nutrition and lactation after earning a nutrition degree, serving as a nutrition educator in the Peace Corps in West Africa, and earning a Masters in Public Health. With specialized training in infant oral anatomy, Gail speaks both Spanish and French. Outside of work, Gail stays busy with her husband, teen daughter, and her roller derby team, the Texas Rollergirls.

    Carol became an IBCLC in 2008 after years of supporting families as a Labor & Delivery nurse, earning her BSN, RN in 1995 and RNC in obstetrics in 1999. Her passion for lactation began after her own breastfeeding experiences, leading her to help restart her hospital’s lactation program and achieve Baby-Friendly designation. With experience in hospital, NICU, and outpatient settings, she loves connecting with families and supporting their feeding journeys. Her background in Labor & Delivery enhances her ability to coach and empower parents. Dedicated to lifelong learning, she stays up to date on lactation research to provide the best care possible.

    Sheri has been a licensed midwife since 2006 and an IBCLC since 2023. Passionate about supporting moms and babies of all backgrounds, she finds joy in nurturing intuitive parenting and helping families thrive with confidence. Seeing parents and babies flourish is what truly inspires her work. In her free time, she enjoys exploring native Texas plants and gardening.

    Cary has been an IBCLC since 2024 and has been supporting breastfeeding families since 2010. Passionate about helping breastfeeding individuals feel embodied, empowered, and supported, Cary believes that breastfeeding is a powerful and transformative act. She takes pride in helping women and women-identifying people feel confident in their breast/chest feeding journeys. Dedicated to ongoing learning, she is especially interested in improving babies’ suckling skills and understanding how their physiology supports successful feeding.

    Kristen became an IBCLC because she feels that every family deserves high quality information and non-judgemental support to make the best decisions for how they feed their babies. Kristen brings her experience helping families in the perinatal hospital setting, Level 3 and 4 NICU’s to leading outpatient services. In addition to her degrees, she has specialized training in infant oral anatomy and infant sleep education. In her spare time, Kristen wrangles her three wily children, endeavors to win all board games, and is a pottery novice.

She enjoys supporting families and helping them achieve their breastfeeding goals. Berenizes also speaks Spanish. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, reading, and taking walks in nature.

She brings her love of meeting new families and supporting them with their breastfeeding goals with her every day, and has helped countless families find breastfeeding success. In her free time, she enjoys giving all the snuggles to the animals at her local animal shelter.
