In 2014, Janet Jones and Lauren Reyes noticed that families who needed lactation care were being forced to choose between paying for help with breastfeeding or covering essential bills. They wanted to change that.

So when the Affordable Care Act’s mandate for quality lactation care was passed, they jumped at the chance to make a difference. They wanted to enable all families to access expert lactation services as an in-network benefit–no matter their financial situation.  And Breastfeeding Success was born.

Fast forward to today, Breastfeeding Success is proud to be Texas’ largest Lactation Consultant Practice. They have a passionate team of International Board Certified Lactation Consultants® (IBCLCs) and Registered Dietitians (RDs).  You’ll find them at work in hospitals, physician offices, and clinics across Austin, Waco, and the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.

By integrating clinical lactation care into the healthcare system, they’ve improved health outcomes for families by making breastfeeding support more accessible. They’re also committed to shaping the future of the lactation profession, training the next generation of IBCLCs. Above all, they are focused on building a team using equity, inclusion, and evidence-based care.

Even as Breastfeeding Success grows, their mission hasn’t changed: they still provide every family—regardless of income—the highest standard of breastfeeding medicine and support. Because when families thrive, we all thrive.
