It’s very normal to feel overwhelmed when you first welcome your baby home! Most people have never taken care of a newborn baby before and babies do have some special needs. This class can help prepare you for those first few weeks of parenthood.

This is a complete prenatal breastfeeding class with some great newborn care tips included. Our instructor is a nurse with experience in postpartum and newborn care and an IBCLC. She will cover much of what you need to know about getting started with breastfeeding and caring for your baby’s basic needs.

• Why breastfeed?
• What to expect in the first few days with feeding
• Milk production explained
• How to get breastfeeding off to a good start
• When to ask for help with breastfeeding
• Newborn hospital procedures
• Normal newborn appearance and behavior
• Newborn sleep patterns
• Diapering
• Bathing
• Soothing
• This is an in-person combined version of our Newborn Care 101: Taking Care Of A Newborn Baby  and Breastfeeding 101: Introduction To Breastfeeding classes.
