Belly to Birth Pregnancy Support Group

Starting your village

This group is led by our Childbirth Educator and is designed to help guide you through your pregnancy as you prepare for the arrival of your baby. Many families appreciate being connected with someone familiar with all of the birthing facilities in the region and can give individualized guidance on what to expect and how to get the resources you need. For those outside of Texas, you will have access to an expert that can help you prepare for childbirth and beyond.

Bosom Buddies: New Parent Support Group

This group meet up is led by an IBCLC designed to help create connections for new families. Connections to other moms, connections to resources, accurate information, support and great snacks (if you are joining us in person). Topics will cover infant feeding, postpartum recovery and general new parent support.  You do not have to be a Breastfeeding Success client to join us – this group is open to the public. We only ask that you are respectful of all participants and the moderator and are tolerant of views or parenting styles that may differ from your own. This group is open to parents who may provide breastmilk in a number of ways – you do not have to be exclusively breastfeeding or feeding at the breast to attend.

In person South Austin group

For parents that crave the connection that comes with sharing the same physical space with other new moms and babies. Weigh your baby on one of our pediatric scales or even do a pre- and post-feed weight and see how much your little one is eating during a feed.

Virtual group

For moms on the go, those that prefer virtual support, or parents who are nap-trapped with a sleeping newborn on their chest.  Feel free to pop in for any portion of the meeting and share your experience or just listen to the joys and struggles of others. When you join, please announce yourself and then mute your phone. Background noise can make it difficult for everyone to hear the person speaking. If you are using the video link please turn on your camera so that we can see your beautiful face and your baby.

Friendly reminder

This group is for peer support. It is not the right setting for a full consultation. Information provided in the group setting does not replace an existing feeding plan, or change care instructions from your health care provider.

If your issues are complex or you would benefit from one-on-one care, please schedule an appointment with us by calling 512-808-0237.
