Bosom Buddies @ The Breastfeeding Success Company

This weekly peer support group meets every Monday, from 1pm to 3pm at Breastfeeding Success Company. This group is open to the public. You do not have to be a Breastfeeding Success client to attend. Please see the website or Facebook page for more event details.

Central Texas Breastfeeding Coalition

Central Texas Breastfeeding Coalition is a private, not-for-profit organization whose mission is to improve the health and safety of mothers, babies, and families through breastfeeding education, advocacy, and collaborative partnerships of public and private organizations. La Leche League

La Leche League of Texas offers support through group meetings utilizing local accredited La Leche League leaders. All women interested in breastfeeding are welcome to attend meetings or contact leaders for breastfeeding information and support. See their website for information on meeting times and locations.

Maternal Mental Health Support

Pregnancy and Postpartum Health Alliance of Texas

“Our mission is to promote awareness, provide education and increase the resources necessary for the prevention and treatment of perinatal mood disorders to the professional community and public” PPHA is a wonderful resource for families with questions about perinatal mental health, who are looking for resources including support groups and professional referrals, or who are needing to be directed to an appropriate crisis related resource.

Mamas for Mamas support group

This is a free weekly support group for anyone who has experienced symptoms of postpartum depression or anxiety. This group meets in South Austin, and updates their Facebook page regularly. Contact them for more details.

Out of the Blue: Postpartum Mental Wellness

Optional two-part class taught by Dr Ellie Wheeler aimed at anyone concerned about their current or future mental health during and after pregnancy.  It is not a therapy group but is designed to help inform you about normal emotional changes during pregnancy, ‘baby blues’ vs. postpartum depression, and to provide you with proactive strategies for managing common mental health issues and provide information on where to gain further support. Participants will not be asked to share any personal information.
